We build the software an organisation runs on.
Ambiful Solutions is an Indian software company. We pick one kind of organisation, build the system it runs its day on, and then do it again for the next kind — schools, colleges and coaching centres, restaurants. Four products so far, on one shared foundation.
None of them is a version of the others. A school ERP and a restaurant platform share no buyer and almost no vocabulary. What they share is everything underneath the vocabulary, and that is the part we treat as the product.
How we build
One foundation, then the domain on top.
The hard part is never the domain
Attendance registers and table reservations are not difficult. What takes the years is everything underneath: keeping one customer’s data away from another’s, plans and limits, a customer’s own domain, their own payment account, their own sign-on, and a record of who changed what. Every product needs all of it before it can be sold to anyone serious.
So it gets built once
Tenancy, isolation, branding, custom domains, encrypted per-tenant secrets, payments, audit and SSO are one layer, shared. A new product starts with all of it already working and adds only the part that is actually about schools, or colleges, or restaurants.
Which is why the second industry helped
A restaurant platform sounds like a distraction from school software. It was the opposite: it forced the layer to stop assuming the customer was a school. Nothing tenanted now knows what kind of business it is serving, and that is a better foundation than a school ERP with a restaurant bolted to it.

Four commitments, including the one about AI.
These are constraints on what we ship, not aspirations. Each one rules something out.
A model never decides a number
Every score, risk level, forecast and threshold is arithmetic in ordinary code that can be read, tested and disputed. The model is asked only for the sentences a person reads. A predicted grade that came out of a language model is a guess wearing a decimal point, and a parent cannot argue with it.
A customer’s secrets stay the customer’s
A school’s SAML certificate and a restaurant’s payment keys sit behind the same encryption path, and no platform-wide credential stands in for a customer’s own. When a customer leaves, what they brought leaves with them.
Nothing changes without a record
State changes are written with their before and after values, not just a note that something happened. One trail, one export, one answer at audit time — and the same answer in every product.
The person doing the work comes first
The teacher marking attendance and the waiter turning a table are the ones who decide whether software is worth having. Features that look good in a procurement document and cost that person thirty seconds a day do not get built.
